.) Play and handle your instrument only. For example, percussion instruments are to be played by percussionists only. *
.) Warm up properly. Play long tones, technical excercises, scales, and arpeggios at a mezzo- piano dynamic. Concentrate on your tone, breathing, embouchure, posture, rhythms, hand position, etc. as you warm up. *
.) When we are rehearsing, only play when you are asked to play. *
.) When the conductor stops conducting, put your instrument down and listen carefully for instructions. *

.) Please refrain from packing up at the end of the rehearsal until the band director dismisses you.*
